A YOUNG GIRL MAKES A DIFFERENCE







 Amahle Qomfo,a 14 years old girl celebrated her birthday during the Mandela Month, to donate to those less fortunate. Qomfo resides in the second biggest township in South Africa, Mdantsane.

It is alleged that the 14 years old girl identified 100 less fortunate children in order to spend her birthday with. Also she did this so that she may donate toiletries to theses children.

According to Amahle ,as much as she is young but helping her peers makes her happy. It is alleged that Amahle started her foundation,the Amahle Qomfo foundation in 2017.It is allegedly said that before her birthday ,Qomfo asked for donations to people on behalf of those less fortunate children.

FEW ROADS IN THE EASTERN CAPE ARE CLOSED.






Few roads in East London were closed on Thursday morning due to heavy snow in some parts of the Eastern Cape. These roads are as follows:

R56 between Molteno and Steenburg,and road users are advised to use alternative routes. Also N6 at Penhoek Pass between Jamestown and Queenstown is also closed.

The traffic services also urged that the road users use other alternative routes as well other than the N9 at Lootsberg Pass between Graaf reinet and Middleburg since many vehicles are stuck there.

It is alleged that also the R58 route at Barkley East, was under the supervision of the authorities   as the snow continues to pile up in this route.



EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER TO BE EXPECTED IN THE EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE

The South African Weather Service on Tuesday issued a warning of a extremely cold weather conditions this week. 

It is alleged that these conditions are due to the cold front across the Eastern Cape Province. Also this cold front is expected to atleast bring showers to some parts of the province.
They further advised the Eastern Cape residents that during this period, no one must attempt
to cross any rivers as they may be full due to the flooding which will happen. Also residents have also been warned to keep an eye on any other instruction that may come up as the week goes by
.

EAST LONDON AGAINST MASSIVE STRIKE

 The Eastern Cape premier Oscar Mabuyane has applauded the province. 

This is after its fight against the national strike, allegedly in favour of the release of the former South African president, Jacob Zuma.

It is allegedly said that the streets in East London were quiet on Tuesday, while the residents were fearing for a strike. A woman who asked her identity not to be revealed said that, while they were working at Mdantsane City Mall the taxi drivers together with the SAPS members were watching the area like hawks.

While in East London Oxford Street, it is allegedly that the  South African Army was also patrolling in that area.

One of the residents in the area, Yonela Philemon has said that they felt safe as the presidents and hope that the people in the province won't involve themselves in the strike.

A PLAN TO DEMINISH INCREASED CRIME RATE IN MDANTSANE

 

Residents of Mdantsane, East London in the Eastern Cape, have come together in a fight to clean Qumza highway shopping centre.

Qumza Highway is a small over-crowded area in Mdantsane with shops, vendors and developing business owners.

A young man aged 29 years from N.U 2 Mdantsane who refused to be revealed came up with the idea hoping that it will diminish the level of criminality in Mdantsane highway.

The 29 years old revealed that he also has been a victim of crime in the area, not once nor twice but many times by being searched by amaphara (drug addicts. According to the young man, the only thing that could aid the area is if all the Mdantsane populaces unite and fight the crime.

The forum recently recovered a stolen plasma T.V and returned it to its original owners.

The NU.2 Mdantsane patrol forum wishes to also get help from the community with anything that they could donate with as they have no source of income.

MDANTSANE F.M SUSPENDS THE 10th ANNIVERRSARY EVENTS.


Mdantsane f.m station has suspended its events, leading to their 10th anniversary main event. This happens after the country has experienced a rapid increase in percentages of the Covid 19.

The station had planned to host events together with MTN in different areas of East London, to bring closer the station to its listeners. This was done in celebration of their 10th year anniversary.

The station manager, Xabiso Gqirhana also announced this to the listeners, stating that they feel bad about the announcement as the station, but the events are crowd pullers. Gqirhana further stated that the events could play a big role in the percentage increase of the Corona virus. It is allegedly that that the Mdantsane f.m team thought of postponing the events until further notice.

The news-editor of Mdantsane f.m, Smagiel Tapa also has said that they promise as the station to still bring only the best to the community and encouraged the listeners to keep listening to it.
