Sivenathi Nontshinga successfully defended his title belt this evening when he was facing Regie Suganob from Philippines. The 24 years old champion from Duncan Village fought infront of a large number of fans in East London ICC.
The Special one was defending his IBF Flyweight World Title after winning it September last year, from beating Mexican Hector Flores.
The fight which seemed difficult for both boxers was in favour of Nontshinga after 12 rounds ,by a unanimous split decision.
When interviewed, Nontshinga said “I was given the name Special one on purpose, because I am special.”.
On the other bout of the evening, Nhlanhla Tyirha was stopped at round six by a Malawian George Kandulo.
