Two people have badly burnt to death in the early
hours of Sunday in a shack in Lilian Ngoyi Park in Mdantsane.
It is allegedly said that the two were from a nearby
tavern when they came home to cook. An eye witness has said that they fell
asleep while they were still cooking.
It is not known yet on how the fire started and was able
to reach to them ,the whole shack was burnt in ashes.A family member of one of the deceased has said that they are
not aware yet of what happened but they will accept the situation and try to
prepare for the funeral. The family further explained that they were woken up
by the calls from the Lillian Ngoyi residents telling them about the incident.
The community members are still in shock of the incident as they suspect that the cause might be the illegal electricity connections.
The forensic team has taken the bodies and further
investigation is to be conducted.
